Instructions
LIFTMASTER PROFESSIONAL
Model 373LM 315MHz Security + 3 Channel Remote Control
ONLY for
use with 315 MHz Security+ garage door openers and universal receivers that have
a purple learn button.
This can be found where you see the antenna
wire hanging from the motor head (you may have to take the lens cover off). If
antenna wire is not hanging from motor head then you have an external receiver
which is a black box approx. 6" x 2" mounted somewhere in the garage with a
antenna wire hanging from it (pop off cover to find Learn Code Button).T
Programming
instructions are describes below. The additional push buttons can also activate
other garage door openers and/or light controls. (Instructions for programming
light products are included with those accessories).
************* WARNING *************
Moving Door can cause serious injury or death.

DO NOT install transmitter
unless the door operator’s safety reverse works as required by the door
operator’s manual.
·
Wall control must be
mounted in sight of door, at least 5 feet above floor and clear of moving door
parts.
·
Keep people
clear of opening while door is
moving.
·
DO NOT
allow children to play with the
transmitter or door operator.
If safety
reverse does not work properly:
·
Close door then disconnect operator
using the manual release handle.
·
DO NOT
use transmitter or door operator.
·
Refer to Door and Door
Operators Owner’s Manuals before attempting any repairs.

each other or other terminals.

Instructions are described below:
- Press and release the
“learn” button on the motor unit. This can be
found where you see the antenna wire hanging from the motor head (you may have
to take the lens cover off). If antenna wire is not hanging from motor head
then you have an external receiver which is a black box approx. 6" x 2"
mounted somewhere in the garage with a antenna wire hanging from it (pop off
cover to find Learn Code Button).The
learn indicator light will glow steadily for 30 seconds.
- Within 30 seconds, press
and hold the button on the hand-held remote.
- Release the button when
the motor unit light blinks. It has learned the code. If light bulbs are not
installed, two clicks will be heard.
To
Erase All Codes From Motor Unit Memo
To
deactivate any unwanted remote, first erase all codes:
Press and
hold the “learn” button on motor unit until the learn indicator light goes out
(approximately 6 seconds). All previous codes are now erased. Reprogram each
remote or keyless entry you wish to use.
To
Control the Opener Lights:
NOTE: Not Available with universal receiver.
With
315 MHz SECURITY+ transmitters, a remote push button can be programmed to operate
the opener lights without opening the door.
- With the door closed,
press and hold the remote button that you want to control the light.
- Press and hold the Light
button on the door control.
- Press and hold the Lock
button on the door control.
- After the opener lights
flash, release all buttons.
Test by pressing the remote push button. The opener lights should
turn on or off but the door should not move.
Open/Close/Stop Operation:
NOTE: Not Available with universal receiver.
Your
315 MHz Security+ remote control can be programmed to operate one door using all
3 buttons: the large button will open the door, the middle button will only stop
the door’s movement, and the third button will close the door. You may set up
this feature as follows:
- With the door closed,
press and hold the large remote push button.
- Press and hold the LOCK
button on the door control.
- Press and hold the door
control push bar.
When the
opener lights flash, release all buttons. Test by pressing the large (Open)
button on the remote. The door should open. Press it again while the door is
open and nothing should happen. Press the middle (Stop) button while the door is
moving and it should stop immediately. Press the third (Close) button and the
door should close.
The
Remote Control Batteries:
The Lithium
batteries should produce power for up to 5 years. To replace, pry open case with
visor clip or screwdriver. Insert batteries positive side up (+). Dispose of old
batteries properly.
