LIFTMASTER PROFESSIONAL
Model 370LM 315MHz 3-Channel Security + Mini Remote Control
The 370LM
Series remote control (Security+) works only with door openers and light
control having an purple “learn” button and a yellow indicator light. Visible at the bottom through a small hole.
Programming
instructions are described below. The additional push buttons can also activate
other 315MHz garage door openers and/or light controls. (Instructions for
programming light products are included with those accessories).
************* WARNING *************
Moving Door can cause serious injury or death.

DO NOT install transmitter
unless the door operator’s safety reverse works as required by the door
operator’s manual.
·
Wall control must be
mounted in sight of door, at least 5 feet above floor and clear of moving door
parts.
·
Keep people
clear of opening while door is
moving.
·
DO NOT
allow children to play with the
transmitter or door operator.
If safety
reverse does not work properly:
·
Close door then disconnect operator
using the manual release handle.
·
DO NOT
use transmitter or door operator.
·
Refer to Door and Door
Operators Owner’s Manuals before attempting any repairs.

Instructions are described below:
- Press and release the
“learn” button on the motor unit. This can be found
where you see the antenna wire hanging from the motor head (you may have to
take the lens cover off). If antenna wire is not hanging from motor head then
you have an external receiver which is a black box approx. 6" x 2" mounted
somewhere in the garage with a antenna wire hanging from it (pop off cover to
find Learn Code Button). The learn
indicator light will glow steadily for 30 seconds.
- Within 30 seconds, press
and hold the button on the hand-held remote.
- Release the button when
the motor unit light blinks. It has learned the code. If light bulbs are not
installed, two clicks will be heard.
To
Erase All Codes From Motor Unit Memo
To
deactivate any unwanted remote, first erase all codes:
Press and
hold the “learn” button on motor unit until the learn indicator light goes out
(approximately 6 seconds). All previous codes are now erased. Reprogram each
remote or keyless entry you wish to use.
To
Control the Opener Lights:
With
SECURITY+ transmitters, a remote push button can be programmed to operate
the opener lights without opening the door.
1.
With the door closed, press and hold the remote
button that you want to control the light.
2.
Press and hold the light button on the door
control.
3.
Press and hold the LOCK button on the door control.
4.
After the opener lights flash, release all buttons.
Test by pressing the remote push button. The opener lights should
turn on or off but the door should not move.
Open/Close/Stop Operation:
(Only if you
have a Multifunction door control)
Your
Security+ remote control can be programmed to operate one door using all
3 buttons: the left button will only open the door. the middle
button will only close the door, and the third button will stop the door’s
movement. You may set this feature as follows:
- With the door closed,
press and hold the left remote push button.
- Press and hold the LOCK
button on the door control.
- Press and hold the door
control push bar.
When the
opener lights flash, release all buttons. Test by pressing the left
(Open) button on the remote. The door should open. Press it again while the door
is open and nothing should happen. Press the middle (close) button while the
door is moving and it should stop immediately.
The
Remote Control Batteries:
The Lithium
batteries should produce power for up to 5 years. To replace, pry open case,
insert batteries positive side up (+). Dispose of old batteries properly.
